The camera gun was inspired by what Damian Hirst said about the falling of the twin towers,"something which nobody would ever have thought possible on an artistic level. The thing about 9/11 is that it's kind of an artwork in its own right. It was wicked, but it was devised in this way for this kind of impact. It was devised visually. An aeroplane becomes a weapon." Reading this gave me the inspiration to turn a camera into a weapon.

The camera gun was developed with the aim to capture a subjects natural reaction. I often found when taking a persons photo they would pose for the camera and give a fake expression, no one was smiling with their eyes. With my camera gun i was able to capture a natural reaction of fear and shock from my model. This Camera Gun was presented to saatchi and exhibited in Paul Arden's gallery in Petworth. The gallery was named 'whatever you think think the opposite' a photography exhibition in memory of Paul Arden.
